It is big.

I just need to know what the law is..... any ideas of who i can ask?
It is not seen that one before! Glad to see that people are in Abatros I we often pass in the darker days of winter and see just one car in the car parks and think what a shame such well placed apartments need more life.

This whole topic was talked to death on here about 2 years ago and I am surprised that JDR cannot point us to the thread he moderated it back then. I am sure it quoted the Law both national and regional and I was quite worried as appeared to apply to private as well as communal pools. With regard to fencing its EU rules and first applied by France how surprising is that and last year by Portugal so in a year or two it will be Spain. I think JDR might be right about the depth thing >1.5m springs to mind but we should be able to fid the thread and get a lead on the Law.

We go down there in the winter to check on it and it is a gost town, i think there are 3 or 4 perms that live there.

Easter the car park was full of people from Madrid, Cordoba & Sevilla.... so getting the pool opening times extended will benefit all the owners who rent thier property out.

I've found this

http://colegioadservilonjas.galeon.c...os1980761.html

I can't see anything about pool size or depth (except that depth ahs to be marked), or anything about pools over a certain size needing lifeguards - just had a really quick glance through though.

I'll have a better look later (or tomorrow) when I have time

This is not a Spanish law - it is for the Republic of Columbia.

This is the relevant Spanish law

http://www.coaat-se.es/varios/ficher...23-99,23-2.pdf

Capitulo 3 refers to the need for lifeguards for pools greater than 200m2.

Yes, it is the law passed by the Junta de Andalucia.

DECRETO 23/1999, de 23 de febrero, por el que se aprueba el Reglamento Sanitario de las Piscinas de Uso Colectivo.
