No, not talking about the UK or Scandinavia.
Fifteen cms and still falling in quite a few villages in Galicia.

remember sitting in brilliant sunshine watching the news on tele showing gales hitting the Biscay coast and snow settling above about 400m - worrying when I am at 750m just further south.

ok missed that one
but then it shows more than one person remembers, albeit from a different viewpoint
last week flying out of Malaga and heading north, crystal clear day, could see the snow already on the mountains half way up Spain, whilst the Sierras around Granada appear to be waiting for their first fall.

It's looking really bad in Italy and also Thailand at the minute with lots of flooding and a fair bit of damage.
Only had a few heavy showers here up to now, but there's flood warnings out for this area near Valencia for tomorrow.
Fortunately I'm up on a hilltop, so if I go under just about everybody else will.

Seeing the flooding in Italy and Thailand makes even the heavy stuff we get here seem like just a light shower!
My thoughts are with a friend of mine who lives in Bangkok, she moved all her belongings upstairs last week.

We live way above sea level too and just far enough away...I think.

Re: Cold Weather on the Way?
I am 1mtr above sea level so everything is hunky dory
the Thailand problem is they havent opened the upstream sluice gates so the plains are being flooded to save Bangkok
Anglian Water did the same thing a few years ago, kept the sluice gates shut until the Northampton basin flooded, opened them and a wall of water went straight down the Nene wiping out everything in its path, flooding houses and flats up to and including the first floor.

Likewise, even so I've still learned to take the rough with the smooth.
I went back to the UK a few years ago on Xmas eve just in time to see the chimney crashing down on the roof in a high wind.
I returned here two years ago after a really bad storm to find the chimney had crashed right through the roof.
Still better than being under a couple of meters of water I suppose.
