Christmas is Coming
#16
I love sending Christmas cards to my friends and relatives in the UK and have always made them using my old Microsoft Greetings software. Unfortunately when my computer tower was taken away for repair I left the disc in the DVD drive. When it came back it was missing. I have looked on Amazon for a replacement but this disc is no longer available. There are several alternatives - such as Hallmark - but the reviews are not that good. Does anyone use a card making software programme? Which one, and is it any good?

now in non card Spain I use Moonpig, a bit clanky and restrictive but it gets the message across that my daughter and neices haven't been forgotten
Thing I miss most is the low cost diaries you can start buying from Sept/Oct in the cheap card shops and Staples.

An error? I used to think that, but it happens so often that somebody must actually be buying the stuff.

after sueing the repairer for theft why not do a Google for it, it seems readily available and seems to be available as a free download - or is that the Hallmark version ??

I glanced into a British bookshop in our local Centro Comercial this morning and spied a Christmas card which said
"To the Cat, from all of us"
Have people completely and utterly lost the plot? What's the most useless and ridiculous piece of Christmas tat you've seen on sale?

That's nothing.
Back in my Tenerife days, I had a Belgian lady-friend who went down to hotel reception every single morning and had them send off a fax to her cat and a seperate fax to her son who was looking after the cat, every day without fail.
Every single evening she was back again at reception and there would be a reply back from the cat, telliing her what sort of day it had and what it had been up to, as well as a seperate fax from her son.
That went on for 3 or 4 weeks at a time, maybe 2 or 3 times a year, so it's not only the Brits who are a bit nutty about cats.
Naturally that was back before internet had taken over, though no doubt her cat would be a whizz kid at the pc keyboard were it still around today.

LOL, my friend's cat has her own facebook page - and has got nearly as many "Friends" as she does! The status updates are purrfectly hilarious.
