Default Change of address.....

no i have not sold the house At our community meeting the other day we have been informed that the address we have had for the last 10 years is not the correct one (although we get all our mail with no problems) and we have to change it with everybody (Iberdrola, Aguagest, Banks etc.....)
Anyone else know anything about this?

All address in the area have been changed, it's apparently to make it easier for the emergency services to find places and the post office to deliver mail, they last did it a couple of years ago when all unbanisations had a code added to their address. Causing a hell of confusion in the area...

for years the whole of Javea has used the 03730 postcode - and had mail delivered - although there have for a long time officially been many more

sometime around the beginning of the year the post office decided to stop delivering mail without the official postcode for the area

trouble is no-one really got to know about it unless they got post returned - the first my now ex-boss knew was when 90% of a mailshot she had sent out was returned!

the 03730 is only really for the port & pueblo

The Ba****ds round here have just changed the postal address of the mail room where we have all mail sent, not just a number but the street name has been changed, so now have to inform all UK people who hve our address, including my UK bank, and that's a whole load of grief changing the address for them to post mail to, will almost certainly mean going over to the UK t make the change as the documentation they need to do it by post has to be seen to be believed.
