Default certificate of antiquity

A couple of months back I mentioned how a town hall computer update had lost records of a whole batch of properties, including ours. The town hall tossed the problem in our laps and said we had to go back to land registry and start over! This after paying IBI for a couple of years!

Well we just left it all to our so!icitor to sort out because they had copies of our escritura etc. They have emailed today to inform us we need to provide a Certificate of Antiquity as the land registry require it even though the house is already registered.

So what is this certificate? How do we get one and where from? How much is this latest theft of our savings going to cost (approximately)?

We got one from a local architect they just came re mapped the house and land and then provided a report about the stucture and the estimated age based on the building materials and structure cost 300 euros, we were expecting some kind of certificate but the townhall said that this is what they needed and was classified as a certificate of antiquity.

That's what we did flotsam. We paid 460 euro for plans to be drawn up as we couldn't find the builder to get the originals. These were submitted by our solicitor and now the catastral office is asking for this certificate! Its galling because this has all been done back in 2006 when we purchased, we are now paying a second time.
So we are going to have to get the architect back and pay again.
