you will need all the docs.if it was me looking at it from a scousers point of veiw.
make sure if the vechicle docs are not in your name.get a print of permision to take the veichle out of the country and use abroad.make sure you are green carded or you drop down to third party when you leave uk.and if posible some thing from the insurance with your drivers names on even a fax.if you havent got a reg doc(1000euro fine).I think you can get a temp.i cant remember where.ring the AA.me I make them up and stamp them with a wine top as they love stamps but make sure you have what they want to see and that way you will be ok and avoid the big fines.dont forget also yellow vests for all ocupants (in france)and 2 triangles.and a bulb kit.dont be conned into head lamp blanks at x amount of pounds as you come under uk vechile lighting laws.but if you are worried about it.you just get some black insulation tape and cover about 3ins of the top of your lamps or you may see a place on the glass depending what car.

Yellow vests are the same here as in France, also if you wear glasses you must have a spare pair in the car. Also you need to carry your passport with you at all times, certainly when driving.

yes true i overlooked them.and dont forget your spare wheel or if a new mini the gas foam.or if no spare a contract with a tyre co.but it would be advisable to take out a international brake down service as a simple thing would cost a couple of grand espesialy in france

A lot of lease companies will not allow this as their cars tend to get taken on a container holiday to African or Arabian climes. See link below from the Vehicle leasing association they indicate what forms you require/vehicle registration document.

The problem in Spain is that you can ask six different lawyers and you'll get six different answers, on nearly everything!!

Ring the AA or RAC or green flag (or go on line to there site)and ask about a VE103.explain the situation,
the complicated bit is that the car is on lease to another person and you are borrowing it to go abroad.maybe it woud be easyer to take the mum along aswell.
or maybe take out AA.Green flag.RAC international breakdown cover.and use your fiesta

the form is actualy called a VOHC (veichle on hire cert.)VE103 this is in lue of the reg document you can down load the form from the RAC web page and fill it in and send it off.you also need a letter from the lease co with the cars details and permision to leave uk.and a foto copy.
if you go into the RAC site.it comes under going on a jurney.
