[I need to find out the names & addresses of the OWNERS of the two houses either side of my house. Have tried asking the people currently living there but they don't understand what I want & one of the houses is being rented out as well.

Can anyone tell me where I might get this information, which I require
pretty urgently.

Try the local council office, they should be registered on the Padron.

I thought padron was linked to your main residence, voting rights etc so absent landlords would be on the padron somewhere else ie their main residence. I know many of my neighbours actually live in Madird or Barcelona and they are not on our local padron. Ayuntamiento should have a list of owners though, or maybe the land registry.

You can obtain property and ownership details from the Registradores website www.registradores.org but you have to pay for the service and state what your declared interest is. Or you can visit your local property registry in person to solicit info. I don't think it will give you an address for the owner though.
Otherwise your best bet would be to go to the town hall as they must have contact addresses for IBI etc billing purposes. Whether they would give you this info or not though I don't know.

the house is worth a lot more than I thought !!

Go to were you pay your rates on your house,they will only tell you if you have a problem with one of the properties,ie a wall looks like it could fall over.
