hi some guidance please.... I have been looking for properties and have come across a couple of really nice looking villas with private pool on Camposol now I have read of some problems on the camposol over the years with the build quality of properties does anyone know any more, or if this is a nice area to settle down when its time to retire in 5 or so year?

We have had several threads on the subject of Camposol in the past so may well be worthwhile doing a search on the forum. If I remember rightly the whole place went through a very bad time regarding its reputation when in it was not the whole place but a certain section that there were problems with. So do a lot of research before committing yourself. We have had members who lived there happily for many years so hopefully they will give you a more personal insight into the area.

Wise to wait anyway and prices will probably go down in most places.

Good call - I was selling houses here pre the 2008 crash. I went to look at Camposol and decided the build quality was so poor that I would not touch them with a bargepole.

Plenty of other much better options without the risk. If it is too good to be true (pricewise) it probably is!

Thanks for the comments, I know there are lots of options its hard find an area have stayed in Villas in El Galan which were nice but not sure long term also have friends who live in Campello. Just want 2-3 bed villa with pool walking distance to bars - restaurants etc. Need to get over and look around when the madness is over.
