where to start! Yes wonderful game, we hope to be at the stadium for a much hoped for Grand Slam on the 15th
Gestor Dr. Crespo in Teulada was very helpful re legalities, option of purchaing a company etc and the legl ramifications, you would need to see someone yourself re your business though, as the IVA/VAt complications are not easy to follow, and we have had two separate opinions, one from a UK specialist and now one from the Spanish expert!
We export to Spain via our UK website at present, the Spanish one will be up and running in about 3 - 4 weeks when we have finalised the legal side, including extending our UK public and civil liability cover etc. If you set up a company in spain, briefly you pay 25% tax on profit, but dividents are not taxed - of yu work mail order you need to comply with the EU distance selling regulations, which like everything appear to be open to interpretation. Your local Council Trading Standards office will supply you with these or you can download i am sure.
Exhibitions are an ideal way to market, we have done so in Portugal - but you need to chose the right ones, and are you selling to the public or to distributors? I think the first thing you need to do is have a meeting with a gestor to discuss your own requirements.
A free phone number on your website is essential and we sourced ours via BT with a divert to our business lines at home - this did take quite a few weeks to materialise, rather than the usual 10 days at home!!
Hope this helps,
