I Luv Bulgaria is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Bulgaria is now the new Spain

Spain your time is now officially over. The end of an Era has now been reached. Britains are now flocking to Bulgaria in their thousands. Bulgaria has wonderfull sandy beaches, beautifull mountains, countryside and will be joining the European Union in 2007 or 2010.

What possible reason is their to buy a house in Spain when you can get the same thing for a quarter of the price in Bulgaria. On the Black sea coast a luxury 4 bed villa will cost £40000. Whats more the climate in Bulgaria is equal to that of Spain and the cost of living 5 times cheaper.

Bulgaria is also free of Terrorism and drunken English yobs. dont be ripped off in spain come to Bulgaria.

11 hours ago.....

A man threw a gas bomb into a crowded visitors’ lobby in Sofia’s central traffic police office today, injuring at least 40 people.

Bulgarian Health Ministry officials said the bomb contained a chlorine-based toxic gas, which causes tears, cough and suffocation.

The life of one of the injured people was in danger and at least four others were reported in critical condition.

The attack was at the traffic police office for public services, which at the time was crowded with people. The building was immediately evacuated.

Two hours after the attack, police arrested a 51-year old man.

Might be okay to visit.....but was until recently a communist country, therefore they will be backward in many respects, so living and working there may have a few problems for a while, and there infracstucture may be behind Spains which is annoying at the best of times, going somewhere where it could be worst would have me pulling my hair out, LOL.

We visited Bulgaria in 1990, beaches and views spectacular, but that was in the days of everything being state owned. We were given vouchers to spend and you could eat in any hotel using these vouchers. Lot of trouble with prostitutes in the lobby of our hotel too. But did enjoy a fantastic night at a show in the Casino {Sunny Beach}.

Forgot to add that the food was really limited....pork, tomatoes and cucumber...... for 2 weeks !!!! Almost caused a riot in the restaurant, Oh melon I exclaimed as my meal arrived { I could hear whispers of why's she got melon !!} ..... only to find it was actually cucumber balls.... what a let down.

Happy memories.
