Broadband - Javea

Hi there, I was not aware to breach any rule by answering a question and I think that was not very nice of you to treat me like that. One of our customers gave me your link, for information, telling me to answer, and I answered - thats all! On Balcon al Mar, we have a big problem: Telefonica-lines are overcharged and they don't do any ADSL-connections any more. Many people are not happy with this. That is why we introduced our Internet-Service just a short while ago, on our own cables, and I thought it was a good idea to reply. If I wanted to stay "unknown", I would not have put my full name, would I? (And I would have had about 10 other e-mail addresses without "javeacable" at the end...) By the way: I don't work for Swiss Service, I am the co-owner and always ready to give a good service. The fact, that our name is "Swiss Service & Cable TV.SL" is because we, the owners, are Swiss and our cable-net is international. Our employees are mainly English and so are our customers. Hoping to have cleared up the situation I remain with kind regards

Site rules Please read number 8.
Quote : "Please do not post promotional urls, nor specifics that would lead people to your site. However, a single line in your signature with a link to your site is allowed. (For signature guidelines please read Rule 16.)"
Perhaps your customer should of told you ?
There are quite a few businesses on here, but they abide by the rules and just have a link to their site in their signature line.
Welcome to the site, you will probably get plenty of enquiries.

Hi Keithwalters
I have been attempting to get an ADSL connection and have been down every avenue possible.
After reading the forum I tried to get a connection with Jazztel, however although my Spanish is quite good it is not of the correct standard to discuss technical issues. I found with Jazztel it was impossible to speak to anyone in English. I waited on the telephone over 45 minutes to converse but with no avail. I did receive some telephone contact and was informed that my area was OK so far as a connection was concerned and that is as far as it has got. I too would dearly like to tell Telefonica to stick their cable where the sun dont shine but HOW???

I tried all the local companies for a connection and they all said they could not guarantee when and if they could give me one because Telefonica were a law unto themselves as regarding allocations.
So I went to Telefonica direct and although I pay through the nose, I had ADSL within 2 weeks (although they then messed it up by getting my line crossed with someone elses). Its only half a meg (rural ADSL) but at least I have a connection.
I was told by one of the providors that they are totally reliant on Telefonica, and that they think Telefonica delay communicating with them on purpose to make it almost impossible to offer a service

Hi,
I'm also trying to arrange Broadband connection for a house in CapMarti, Javea which is currently being renovated for our move to Javea at the end of August07. Can anyone advise on the contact details, tel number (that I can call from UK) to Telefonica to start the process of arranging a Broadband connection. At this stage I'm planning to go with Telefonica as they seem to own all the infrastruture that's required. I can then choose to change once I'm living over there and have more familiarity of the local landscape re: other providers/reputations etc.
Thanks for any info.
