The next one he could launch in the direction of the Emirates, now that WOULD be a bacon warhead for maximum effect. Wonder if that's causing the shortage, you know, the Commies are stockpiling best back from all over the World and also some streaky, but only streaky for the secondary targets, eh?

Emirates? Very liberal place, they sell/ eat bacon, its the saudis and some other countries that are truly orthodox.

You spoiled it now by being serious, yes Saudi if you like, didn't want to cause any offence.

OK, let's get back on topic rather than posting supposedly funny comments about some other people not eating bacon.

From my point of view, yes, smoked back bacon is not currently available in Lidl. It happens often and will probably reappear soon.

If you have access to an Iceland store, they have loads of it.

Absolutely the finest, it to take complete pork loins, about 20 euros each [4-5 kg] from places like costco, and wet cure using the meat bible's canadian [real maple syrup] cure plus powdered hickory smoke.

Sorry but keeping & butchering a pig in our apartment isn't practical. The neighbours would complain about the noise and the smell. I think I'll stick to buying a few rashers from the supermercardo

You do realise that this is a Spanish forum don’t you?

Costco - (on every street corner here) and powdered Hickory Smoke - where would you buy that here?

Yes, loads of back bacon in Morrisons in Gib. There is also a very good range in Iceland stores including good dry cured smoked.

It is all vac packed with a long date, or it freezes well. We have never run out of bacon. The Spanish smoked bacon is really tasty but it is only streaky. Pretty good in bacon sarnies though!

Prefer Oscar Meyer bacon. No white stuff.
