Default Bringing gas bbq from Britain to Spain

Hello

Has anybody tried bringing a gas bbq (in particular a Weber Summit S-650) from England to Spain? Are there any issues with gas connections, difference in gas, etc? Any advise appreciated.

Thank you

Will work OK but the bottles and valve are different so leave them.

I have a Spanish Weber (or rather, a Weber I bought in Spain) and it would not be compatible with the English gas canisters.

However it is relatively easy to adapt it. You would need to buy a new alcochofa (the bit that clamps on to the cannister) that was compatible with the Spanish cannisters. The tube size is also different.....if I remember correctly the Uk tube is narrower than the Spanish one. Again, you could just attach the larger Spanish tube but make sure you clamp it really tightly around the Uk inlet so it doesn't leak.

Hope that makes sense!!

We brought out gas barbecue over from the UK - left the fittings and bottle behind - BA took it as checked luggage. Works fine - we needed to get a new fitting which we bought from Leroy Merlin and picked up a new gas bottle locally
