can anyone tell me if there is much work for British brickies in Spain or is there any websites where i can find any information on about it, thankyou.

I'm sure you're aware that there is a "construction crisis" in Spain right now resulting in much unemployment in the industry.
"La crisis de la construcción ha provocado que 69.660 trabajadores por cuenta propia abandonen su actividad, según un informe elaborado por la Federación Nacional de Asociaciones de Trabajadores Autónomos (ATA), correspondiente a los cuatro primeros meses de 2008. El estudio desvela que, durante el periodo señalado, 194.581 emprendedores tuvieron que cerrar su negocio."
Which is not to say that there is NO work. Of course your chances of employment will be greater if you speak Spanish but then again you'll probably be at the "bottom of the pile" as the Spanish tend to employ "their own".
