In the past Gibraltar was not included in the list of EU countries at UK entry points, therefore I used what I considered was the fastest moving queue without any problem.
Another point:- The Spanish Ministry for the interior has dismantled the biometric readers that it installed at the frontier in 2015 https://www.gbc.gi/news/intelligent-...sh-authorities Would this be due to Spain considering that Gibraltar is now in the Schengen area? https://www.etiasvisa.com/etias-news...r%20countries. |

Re: Border Control
So Gibraltar and Northern Ireland have acquired a new kind of citizen status under this Brexit.
We have British citizens travelling to British territories being required to produce passports to enter... Then we have other within the United Kingdom who have issues with importing exporting good... Proper Brexit botch, if you ask me.... Well done Boris... |
Re: Border Control
And Priti Patel now wants to send asylum seekers to Gibraltar and the Isle of Man, amongst other places, to processing centres whilst their claims are being dealt with. Except that both Gibraltar and the IOM have said they know nothing of such plans and will not have anything to do with them.

I will be interested to see if those who can prove resident status will still be required to queue with the herd of non EU passport holders.

I have read somewhere that as a 10yr TIE holder that I can join my Irish wife in the EU queue with my TIE and UK passport. I suspect that my TIE will also allow me to use the machine readers where there is a slot for ID CARDS.

Edit: I've just realised it has the chip symbol on it so I guess it's embedded inside it. |
