Default Boiler Service

Hiya

Anybody got contacts for somebody in the area who can service/repair boilers fitted in the town houses please. I thought I had received an email about an English man who was doing this or perhaps read it in on this forum but I have not made a note of the tel no or email.

Any ideas please ?

Thank you

Mel

You might want to try Climavip, Wilfredo speaks some English.

Make sure, especially if you rent out, you comply with ES and EU Law, use a registered and insured outfit and take a copy of their accreditation and report.

You risk criminal prosecution and eye watering civil claims should your boiler, smoke detectors, portable appliances etc not comply and then disaster strikes.

Best

I think you can post the details as you are not commercially connected to the service company.

Otherwise you will be PM'd to death!

Very dodgy insurance wise if there is ever a problem, you need a piece of paper as proof he is legal.

Thanks Loco and to the other posters. This is a very good point, appreciate the advice. Other than Jur's suggestion (cheers Jur) though I have no other contacts for this type of service. SO as I have said before it would be great if we could form a list of reliable plumbers, electricians etc all registered etc so we know who to call for services (prevention) or when disaster strikes and an emergency call-out is needed.

After our next visit to CE, if all has gone well at our place, I will hopefully then be able to recommend a builder/roofer who has carried out repairs following the leaks after all the rain next year.

All the best

Mel
