My husband's birthday is in October and I would like to go to a restaurant to celebrate it. Appreciate suggestions around Oliva, Ganda and Denia.
Thank you

We both like seafood and fish. Also a good steak. We prefer Italian or French, although a Spanish seafood restaurant will do. As for price range - around 40 euros to 80 euros per head. Not sure what a good restaurant would charge for a meal in Spain so might be erring on the cheap/expensive side. Bottom line is that we don't mind paying as long as the meal is memorable for all the right reasons.

There are a few good places on the sea wall / harbour wall in Denia - meat and fish and more...

Thank you Porth mfor your recommendation.
Guy, which places do you have in mind in Denia? Incidentally, have made a note of your details in case we have any problems with our satellite TV. Speaking of which it is a bit annoying that you cannot get any channels until the morning following arrival from the UK but we don't mind missing an evening as long as it comes on eventually!!!

There are a number of restaurants along the port wall - been to two of them, but they were both very nice.
One was called: www.republicdenia.com
cannot remember the name of the other one, but there are 3 or four along that section of the wall - some with nice views of the port whilst you are eating...
There is no reason why you should not get channels straight way - unless you have a smallish dish, and your sky box does not get the required signals, as they can be weak late afternoon / evening, to download the channel list - but you can "speed up" this process by getting the sky box to download the channel list from another frequency, by changing the default transponder on the sky box : http://www.satandpcguy.com/Site/sky_...anca_spain.php

Thanks Guy. Republic Denia looks and sounds great!! I think we will be spoilt for choice and will need to go back again and again.
Not sure what dish we have but it is Big!! Have printed out your advice and hopefully will get channels straight away.

Be sure standby is not in auto off mode.
Ps I highly recommend Jon (The Guy). I get everything on an 80cm dish.
Whether that shall remain when the new satellite is in operation is another matter (and thread).
