Children go to school at 3 years old in Spain. Your child will be eligible from September this year so you might want to prioritise that

School isnt actually obligatory until 6 years old but probably 90% or more of children start at 3.

Nurseries close in June for the summer holiday so not sure whether it would be worth it for just 2 months

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I seen that we were looking at private schools do you know when they start at 3 do they go for a full day? I didn't know they close for the summer thanks for the information.

Thanks again

I dont know about the La Cala area, but here in the North the typical school day at a private school for a 3 year old is 8.30am-4.30pm

That is too long for us which is why my 3 year old goes to a private Montesorri school from 9am-2pm

Yes Thats the same as us we think that's too long a day for a 3 year old. The 9-2 is a lot better as he goes to nursery just now from 8-12:30 I'll have a look into that.

Thanks

Ian
