Default working from home

Has anyone transferred their home working when they moved to Spain? Are there any particular internet based home working companies that anybody can recommend or use?

Are expat recruitment agencies worth approaching and has anyone used them? If so, which ones?

We would prefer to move sooner and as you can see, I am doing as much research as possible.

It's always good to hear other peoples' experiences of how to move to Spain before retirement and still earn a wage.

There is no simple way to keep on working from home

The best way is to persuade your employer from the UK to let you work remotely in Spain. Another option is to start your own business

There are hardly any jobs advertised that will allow you to work from home, and those that say they do will mainly offer sporadic commission based work

However, it really depends what profession you already work in. If you have great skills that very few people have then you can persuade employers and clients to pay you no matter where you are

Be very careful! Check out all the threads which talk about Autonomos here. With a very small business trading legally you can end up owing more than you earn. I know!

I've started to solve the problem by teaching English on what they call regimen General which seems to be like PAYE. English teaching seems to be the only growth area here! If I were starting again I may well have gone for a teaching cert upfront (can't afford it now). Luckily I'm used to teaching, though only crafts so I'm having to learn as I go along.
