Default Being an Avon Agent (good & bad points)

Can anyone advise on being a Rep for Avon, good points and bad.
How does the commission work, I hear it is based on how much business you bring to the company.
I have read up on it through the Internet ,but everything I have read is so misleading, I would like to hear from peoples personal experiences.

you asked that on Tuesday!

I did it many years ago in the UK - don't know if they do it the same here though

you had to pay for your demo stock & your brochures & you got commission on what you sold - straightforward - the more you sell, the more commission you got - some items carried higher commission rates than others & I think that your % commission also increased if you sold more

you could also make money by referring people to become agents

I stopped because it was a hassle getting the money out of people sometimes - and it was then a nightmare returning the stock & getting the amount credited to your account - it was easy to actually end up owing money to Avon!!

that said - the first Xmas I did it I earned a small fortune - but then business dropped to the point that it just wasn't worth the effort required
