Probably the same place as the Snailman who was on it last year.

Hopefully most people would do lots of research as well - places like this forum - but you are probably right they are just jumping on the plane as fast as they can get out of the UK.

Here's a point - if people can't make a go of it in the UK is there any reason why they are going to make a go of it in Spain?

Spain is harder in my opinion to succeed.

Hi there , i agree with you spain is harder to succeed but what i dont agree with is your point you say if people cant make go of it in the uk is there any reason why they are going to make a go of it in spain ! WHAT ALOAD OF RUBBISH there s loads of people in the uk trying to make a go of it a lot of people find it hard working long hours just to keep a roof over there heads and always paying over the odds for every thing and not having a quality of life a lot people just want out , an escape to get away from the daliy pressure of uk , ive succeed here in the uk i have got the good job good pay nice pad i could carry on trying to succeed to have a bigger house better car more money but like most the brits that going abroad we want a better quality of life rather than living for your job ! i know when i get out there i wont be earning no where near the money im earning here but a least i will have a better life ok it aint going to be easy we all know that but i think if its your dream DO IT!

If you're earning at all. Jobs for foreigners are very thin on the ground here. You will need good Spanish unless perhaps you want to go to the CDS and work in a bar, be a pool person or are a builder, plumber or mechanic dealing with ex-pats and, even then, competition is great. Do your homework before you even consider it but, anyway, good luck when you decide to make the move.

I wanted to get in touch with her, re a possible article on my website so did a google search.Yes I think she is still in Spain but what the programme did not say was that she is the woman that was all over the news last year. She left her 2 older kids with their dad and went to Spain with her youngest (her dad would not take her). Do u remember, there were loads of articles about her, "middle class woman abandons kids for a life in Spain", apparantly she was on "Trisia" and other chat shows. She appears to be involved in some sort of property company buying up UK property from people in a hurry to sell.

That is quite unbelievable and incredible. I too was left with young children but struggled along and proud to say I bought my home in Spain after struggling for 10 years on my own. I bought a house, for me and my 2 kids - who have never left my side.

Father is in UK - but dont start me on that one.

Personally I could no way leave my two anywhere.

Quite refreshing yesterday's edition. The lady that was opening the horse riding school actually had learnt the lingo and was even using Spanish builders!!

Still got the usual "We don't need a fire, we're in Spain" comment though from the househunters.

Along with the "You don't need a kitchen, you'll be cooking ouside" comments, this programme, in my opinion, gives a false impression of what living in Spain is like.

Totally gives the wrong impression and has probably caused lots of heartache for a lot of expats.
Its only just lately on the news each morning they have started giving warnings of real life in Spain etc.

Would these warnings be crime related?
A

Another great one today!!

Didn't like the house because it was 'Spanish'.

And yet another participant, the shower lady, driving around in an illegal, un-taxed British plated car.

There was a couple on last week who were running painting holidays (pictures that is, not walls). Does anyone know where they were? They mentioned the sierras but I can't remember which ones.

Are these programmes repeats as I think I saw that last year ?
If it is they were near Ronda.
That is what we are going to do along with the gallery and ceramics courses.

There has been someone doing a painting holiday when Nadia Sawalha was presenting the programme last year, now there is a different presenter (don't know his name) and there was a different couple doing painting holidays. Don't remember where they were though They took their visitors out to paint the surrounding countryside. Hope you do well G I have told my daughter about your gallery and what you said about getting a portfolio together and she promised me she will get herself motivated to get something together.
