Default Batter a Burglar

I'm all for it myself.

Disproportionate force allowed.

Gross disproportionate force not.

Sounds sensible to me but I'm an American.

I tend to stick with salt and vinegar myself, liberally applied around the mush.

A touch of Tabasco and a dash of pepper can also add to the effect quite nicely.

They certainly picked on the wrong guys that time - good on Amir and his brother!

Nice one, but I like this idea even better.

Choose the punishment and the venue.

Any suitable suggestions should anyone be burgled or have their family threatened or attacked ?

You can buy the dried peas (the only kind to qualify as mushy) in the Iceland shop.Buy one of their ham shanks at the same time and make some delicious pea and ham soup served with crusty bread....

I'm making myself feel hungry just writing about it!

Thanks Meg
but remember that I am about 90-100km from my nearest Iceland

will start an occaisional search when shopping - many things jump out at you in the supermarkets as actually being very similar/same as the UK just for some reason they have funny Spanish names on them

well no I will tell the chef all about your suggestion and he can have another look when out shopping .... wouldnt want people on BE Spain to think I was so sad as doing SHOPPING

Tell the chef he should be able to find guisantes secos in any Moroccan shop (I'm sure there must be some of those in Granada!)

I'm not guaranteeing their potential mushiness though, I use lentejas instead.

Not sure what this has to do with burglars unless we attack them with a peashooter of course or ladles full of mushy peas.

Personally I like my peas fresh out of the pods.
However failing that I find newly thawed frozen Birds Eye peas to be the closest thing in the UK.
Tried all sorts of frozen brands in Spain but none even come close and all are sadly lacking in both freshness and flavour.
