Banking in Nerja
Hello all,
After years of holidaying and research etc we have finally decided to move to Nerja later in the year.
We are coming over at the end of this month and thought it's a good idea to open a bank account to at least get the ball rolling.
An expat we spoke to over there last time we visited, recommended Sabadell Bank.
Has anyone had any experience of this bank, or indeed can recommend alternatives?
Also can you advise exactly what documentation we will need to present them on our visit, bearing in mind we will still be living in the UK for the next six months or so
Any thanks in advance.
Lee
PS we bank with Nationwide and First Direct over here, but don't think they have a presence in Nerja.

The Sabadell "Expansion" account is a reasonable deal for Spain but requires the deposit of 700€ monthly.
For that there are no charges, free cards and 3% back for each direct debit capped at 20€.
The Staff in the Balcon de Europa branch are nearly pleasant too.
I/we have been with them since we first bought eight years ago.
Just a passport I think, NIE if you have one.
