Can someone tell me what the following term on my bank statement means ? - Comision Tramitacion Certificado Residencia.
There is IVA of 16% charged on top so in total its 17.43 EACH!
I am presuming its a yearly charge ......

Hello Jenna M
It looks as if it's referring to a bill that has been passed through your bank for the application of your residency certificates.
It's not a yearly charge, it should be a one off payment for the application.
Regards
David

Strange how our bank was keen to sign us both up to our single account and not just one of us. Then we find we get charged 19€ every six months for having a bank card each, go figure!

I seem to remember when we first moved here our bank, Bankinter, made a charge for being a non residents account.
We weren't with them long and we opened an account with CAM using our Residencias. No similar charge form them.

We discovered this when we noticed that we operated our account in deficit for the first three months because there is a fee (GOVERNMENT) to open a Non-Resident account. This is a bi annual fee of about €10 +IVA and sure enough we have paid this twice so far.

John.

Just looked at my bank statement and we had €8.40 deducted for the same thing. Ours is a non-residence account at the moment. It's a joint account.
