bank account
Hi all. will be coming to spain for 6 months renting an apartment for this time.do i need to open a bank account to pay bills as we will have no direct debit account or can you pay at the post office.I feel that were only there for a short time and need not open an account

Ask your Landlord for his bank account details and then you can pay cash over the counter to his account.

... but he may insist (like I would) that all bills are in the tenants name.
For electricity, I'm not sure you can do it. I seem to recall that you MUST have a bank account.
I would definitely ask the landlord.
