Are Banco de Valencia employing down and outs??
I have lived in Spain for 10 years and I have got used to casual dress in banks but today...................
I went into Banco de Valencia to pay my basura bill. The individual who served me (or rather kept me waiting while he chatted on the phone then disappeared for 5 minutes) - I have seen better dressed, smarter individuals sleeping in a cardboard box at the back of Charing Cross station!! Casual - O.K. - but scruffy unkempt...... words (almost) fail me.

Quite surprising just how much things have changed in this respect.
The Spanish have always been ones to pride themselves on their appearance wherever possible in public places, and possibly on occasions looked down there noses at some of us scruffy Brits.
Have they all this time yearned just to be like us and be their true selves, or are they simply trying to follow the Worldwide casual trends and overdoing it slightly ?
