They obviously have pens out of sight, I have not worked out the layout yet. I am still in touch with the animal sanctury and Zoo Check. I am still hoping for info from local source and will be contacting Sevilla Zoo again.

[F]What an amazing job you are doing! Could not face going to the zoo due to your graphic description of both the animals and their living conditions. Is there anything that I could do to help you with your endeavors to try and get these poor creatures to a better living environment? Would it be helpful if more people complained to Seville Zoo with you? [/FONT]

If you saw went to the zoo and then could make a denunicia that would be a great help. I do think you would need to have first hand knowledge to be able to make a real report. Also if you have any contacts to the Mayor and find out if there is any way people could help with feeding costs. Any info on the tiger at all would be useful. The more people that are aware of the tigers condition and that of the bear I think, may meant somebody somewhere is connnected to the people who can help the tiger if he id not already getting what he needs.

Zoo Check are to be contacting their spanish colleagues, the Tiger Sanctuary are aware/ very concerend, they are waiting on any information I can get from Sevilla Zoo re the conditon of the white tiger, any illness and its age. If you got that from Sevilla Zoo that would very helpful. I have an e mail to send to them but they have not responded to my last one.

The person in charge of zoo appears to be on holiday I am waiting on their return for information.

I have my second home at esuri, and although I am not there at the moment, I too, like lush, would like to get involved with assisting you in getting the treatment of these wonderful animals addressed urgently. Please can you post the email address of any people, companies, organisations that I can email to support your quest in getting this sorted urgently. Well done captains wench on actively doing something about what you have seen.

I have a suggestion...................

Rather than go in and attack the 'Zoo' in a negative way we need to forge a plan that we can turn it into a positive. At the moment there are no funds not only to feed the poor animals but the staff are not getting paid either so therefore rather than have the zoo as a drain on resources for Ayamonte then we need to provide the Mayor with an alternative that could generate revenue. I do not want to broadcast that here so if anyone is interested then PM me and we can do this by email?????

I went to the Zoo the first time we were in Ayamonte many years ago and only went back last year as my grandaughter wanted to see the new-born zebra BUT it was very upsetting to see such magnificent animals in such poor conditions. Please include me in any efforts to make improvements there; the park is lovely and the staff I (tried) to speak to were pleasant but it is SO wrong to have bears, tigers and lions trapped in those small enclosures.

Lush .... I replied via email twice. I am getting nowhere with any contacts for the zoo, they won't talk. The Tiger Sanctuary are worried but they need information before they can help.

Sevilla Zooo the tigers owners also have not responded to my last 2 e mails.

Brick wall head banging.

Re: Ayamonte zoo.

Please can you let me have the email contact address for ayamonte and Seville zoo please. The more emails they receive, the more might be able to be done. Parques Reunidos are a Madrid based entertainment group who own zoo's around the world, so I intend on contacting them also to try and get some action started as this thread has gone quiet and those animals are still suffering.anyone with another ideas, please let me have them. I am based in England and visit ayamonte on average 6 times a year. Thanks.

How about trying the Born Free Foundation they have an online form you can fill in on their website.
I have not seen the condition of the animals only know what I have read here but I will report and if enough others do it may help.

Re: Ayamonte zoo.

Thanks lynn, I will complete and send. I have had been having an email conversation with a vet from Seville zoo today and hope to take it further- however we all need to be sending as many emails to as many wildlife/ zoo/animal welfare charities or organisations to bring someones attention to the plight of these fabulous creatures. If you pm your email address to me I will forward the emails I've sent/ received today from Seville zoo etc. Regards sarah
