You would in my opinion be very wrong. Although Ayamonte has changed over the years (what place hasn't?) it is still very attractive.

And I am sure those who have access to more up to date photos (Jur?) will hopefully prove the point.

It would be interesting, as we hear so much about the place and it would be nice to see it

and please note the use of the word seems. I haven't visited, I don't know. I'm just going from photographs. To use that picture, Jur, is possibly doing the place a disservice?

Last edited by fionamw; Jun 9th 2009 at 5:45 am. Reason: The 2nd pix hadn't loaded then did..... I've changed my comment to Esuri.

Here are a few of my own (older) pics of Esuri.
The view beyond the bridge over the marismas still does have building cranes. Esuri is a work in progress, undoubtedly. Yet, there's a lot of open space and big sky.

2 pics of Ayamonte (Escudo azulejos and Sorolla painting to compliment jur's "catch of the day" pic) by Gpedro (author) courtesy of Wikipedia.
The last pic is mine, taken in Plaza de la laguna, beside the jasmine. Spot the same azulejos.
