Hi everyone,
I am living in the Costa Brava with my husband, we have been here for only 1 month. We are fortunate I work remotely so can work from anywhere as I wanted to spend some time with my family who live here.
The plan is to stay in this area a few months and then try other places. As I am working there is no urgency for my husband to find work but while my salary can sustain us if its long term we are here then we really need us both working, if he can at all as we know it may be very difficult for him, he is a skilled carpenter & builder by trade and also a contracts manager and has many years of high level experience, his spanish is 'intermediate' but improving constantly. We have been researching british building companies in Spain, have thought of Gibraltar as I spent a a lot of time there although many years ago - we are open to suggestions and can move wherever for him to find some work. We re both in our 40's and have no children just our doggie (who is Spanish), we wouldn't want to move anywhere too remote as like to go out for nice meals and a few drinks however not too mad touristy busy either, but really my husbands work is the influencing factor. We are in the process of researching areas but if anyone has any suggestions then id be very grateful to hear them. Thanks all
