Welcome to BE, I'm not in your area so I can't help, I do how ever have a friend who has a holiday home in the Granada area not sure where, I will e-mail her if I get a chance and ask her if she is near to you. There are some lovely towns in Jaen such as Cazorla, Ubeda and Baeza, and Jaen itself is a fairly large city with good shops and a massive cathedral.
