Hi colinanddlila

Welcome to BE, I'm not in your area so I can't help, I do how ever have a friend who has a holiday home in the Granada area not sure where, I will e-mail her if I get a chance and ask her if she is near to you. She plans to move out there once she has renovated the house and is nearer to retirement age, Gordon willing that is. Again welcome to you both.

There are some lovely towns in Jaen such as Cazorla, Ubeda and Baeza, and Jaen itself is a fairly large city with good shops and a massive cathedral.
