Flying to Alicante later this month. Anyone heard of Brit car hire, or alternatively any recommends on car hire within Alicante airport?

No, never heard of them. Try Victoria Car Hire, used them for years before we moved here

I always use Carjet. they are a broker but have never let me down and have a Uk office.
Whoever you choose some hire companies are not based in the airport and you get a minibus to their office to collect the car. Usually a few minutes away.
It's not a problem but if you particularly want an operator with an airport desk check who you reserve with.
