Hi all
I need a booklet translated from english into decent spanish.
Although I am learning spanish my skills are not up to scratch.
It is about 2 pages of A4. Where is the best place for me to get it translated?
Many Thanks
Richie

There are various on-line translation sites one of which, Babelfish, gets quite a few recommendations, would this be any good?

Only passing on what I've read. There are numerous free on-line translation sites just have a google. The other option is to pay somebody like Purple translations who advertise in the local magazine. They can be emailed at [email protected] or telephone (UK) 01444 443808 (Spain) 607267712.

All on-line translators have built in problems in that they do literal translations, which doesn't take into acount the context of the words. You really do need a person to do the translation for you as he/she can use words in their correct context.

If you're in Banbury why not contact one of the many language schools in Oxford. Bound to be a bilingual Spanish student there (you need a Spaniard to translate into Spanish really and vice versa).

If you are in Banbury then its a short drive to Leamington Spa. At the bottom of the Parade, opposite the gardens and above the Pizza restaurant on the corner, there is a translation company. I think they are called Comtrans or something like that. They specialise in legal translations etc.
If thats no good for you I have a friend in Redditch who speaks perfect Spanish / English. I could ask her for you, but to be fair she'll probably want some money for it. Let me know
