My OH says she`s Basque, but she has Andaluz parents.

Does that make her Basque as she was born there and lived there or is she Andaluz because her parents are ?

Are you Iranian because you were born there or are you say English because your mother may have been or are you Scottish because your father may have been ?

My family are a mix of Scottish and Lancastrian, with no end of mixes included, the only no mongrel part being the Scottish, and we have protestant, catholic and Jewish just adding to the confusion.

Thats where Spanish culture differs slightly, very few Basque born, Catalan born, Galicians would admit to being Spanish.

Maybe this is why people here seem to be a bit pissy here, i just assumed they knew this was the net and hundreds are reading this that may not have much of a clue about Spain.
