I would suggest it is only the stupid ones who get caught.

Where did you read he has already spent most of his life behind bars? Up until now he appears to have enjoyed the good life (in between jail terms) and caused untold misery for many. In any event, prison in the UK is hardly a hell hole. It will be a lot easier for his family to visit now! Maybe he will get early release on compassionate grounds like megrahi?
