Already been into Tesco, M&S, Iceland, Wilkos, Argos, numerous charity shops, used Argos, Asda delivery service as we had to completely furnish the place. On line via BT, was going to use Talk Talk, but they said that as we hadn't been in the country for 4 years, it would be a least 17 days before they could connect us, so told them to forget it, BT had us on the phone in 4 days, Broadband in 6 days.

Amazing, and to think that all this time the whole World has been conned into believing it was all down to Bush and Brown!
Ah well suppose the truth had to come out sometime.........

What was? That it's all your fault (good on you girl, it's usually all mine....) ?? or that it's neither Bush nor Brown?
ref the flood of exits, it's not just Brits in our neck of the woods, Dutch leaving too, mainly for lack of work here.
nb good luck to all who've left/are planning it. (and those dwindling 'reserves' staying!)

it's not just Brits leaving here, either, or Brit businesses going under
walking around the port the other day I saw two more closed down & just left or leaving - both clothes shops - one brit, one german owned
there's a spanish owned one been for sale for coming up to a year now
an english guy had a specialised paintining business - he's owed nearly half a million - some (most) by the spanish govt - he shut up shop a couple of months ago before he totally went under
the language school I worked for was german run - closed down after 30 years!
