I've had a big posh telly for a while and been content with the HD stuff provided by our IPTV subscription. But a few days ago, our lass says she has an Amazon prime subscription so I jumped in and we were getting proper 4K programs to watch which was awesome

But today Amazon have sussed where we are (Lanzarote) and we keep getting the message "This title is not available in your current location"

Boooo!. The missus pays it in the UK so she can have stuff delivered to her elderly mother.

Is there a way around this ?

It's only the Prime video that is geo-locked to UK. Other Prime privileges like free delivery and special offers are unaffected. You can try using VPN, but it's quite difficult to defeat Amazon geo-locking.

The content of the streaming sites differ from country to country. I am in Canada and cannot access some programs/films that are available in the US and UK. I have read that the way around it is to buy an IP address for the country where the content is from. For example...if I use an US IP I can access the content of Netflix/Amazon etc in the US. You are in Lanzarote, if you buy an UK IP address that should work. 🤞🏻

I use NordVPN occassionally and it works for BBC, ITV, All4, Amazon, and NetFlix. It doesn't work, or at least didn't the last time I tried, for Apple TV or NowTV. I tried ExpressVPN for a while but found it pretty useless and expensive. I purchased it for a trial of NowTV and couldn't get it to remain stable. This could be user error but if I have to mess around with things just to watch TV then they're not worth it in my mind.

Amazon Prime España is only 36€ - well worth it IMO.

I "wandered" into Amazon.es Prime by accident but the cost has been more than acceptable for deliveries and when I get my act together the additional benefits of tv etc are gojng to be very welcome.

Does it show all the UK stuff ?

No, only selected programmes in English.

On the mac I have almost the same here in Spain as to the UK. Anything made by Amazon is on there.
I also have the Spanish stuff.
Although the TV shows different stuff because its got smart DNS but it knows its in Spain.
