Any Tips out there about areas ,or info on living in The Area ,We are semi retired and plan to live 10months of the year there.
Also we are looking for a vila with pool with possible sea views

I spent quite a bit of time at Altea Hills. It's a very German urbanisation and with the mountains all around it, it can seem really opressive, especially in winter. Sea views there will cost a fortune.

I personally think that up the road a bit towards Javea, Denia etc., are nicer areas and not quite as overbuilt.

My top tip for house hunting around Altea is not to buy a place on a high elevation unless you've seen it on a rainy day in Winter. Summer's clear sea views can be winters cloudy, damp fog views! Some of the properties are literally clocked in cloud and fog for months on end.

I go along with the foggy thing re Altea, to a certain extent. Location is very subjective. My sister lives in Denia and absolutely loves it. Low coastline where the hills/mountains rise steeply behind are a good bet for moderated weather. Nerja in the Axarquia region is another good case in point.

As far as the property goes, make sure that you tie up with a truly independent outfit with your interests at heart. You may like to check out
