At the moment we live in Javea which is a beautiful part of Spain.
The only reason we would move is if we could find another part of Spain equivelant.
We want a nice change of area, and the images we have seen it ideal.
Can anyone advise which areas to avoid in Nerja.
We want to live in the main town area.
We do not want any urbanizations or residential styled property,
What areas are right in the town ?
Can anyone advise ?

You need to visit as the choice is wide, If you are car owners try to get a garage, parking in Nerja is a nightmare.

The area around the Parador is one of the nicest, but I am a bit confused as to what you mean by not wanting residential style property?
There are plenty of streets of traditional townhouses in the centre.
The only area really to be avoided is anywhere within earshot of Plaza Tutti Frutti (between C/ Antonio Millon and Castilla Perez) which is where all the late night bars are located.

Agree though, over the years it gets worse and worse, you'll even struggle to get a spot in Burriana on a weekend, any weekend. Are they building a car park there, did I read that somewhere, even if they are, it'll hardly be cheap.
