Most of them tend to look like tourists or have rental car stickers on them.

In the areas where I've driven that have a lot less tourists on the road e.g. Asturias and Barcelona I didnt find that problem at all. Much better drivers up there.

The Catalans are very patient on the road, but then they arent allowed to go fast, their motorways are full of speed cameras!

I watched an exodus of Madrilenos last weekend making their way home along a dual carriageway after their summer holidays on the coast. From my vantage point on the terrace of a cafe overlooking a busy roundabout, I don't think I saw one car with a Madrid number plate that wasn't covered in dents. I witnessed some hair-raising stuff during my half-hour there.

I try and copy the Spanish way of driving, especially when approaching roundabouts, but when I see a car with a Madrid or Bilbao number plate. I fall back. I fall back even further when I see a car with a bull sticker on the back, and a hire car sticker sends me into total panic.

If I'm going straight over, or turning left, I put my foot down and pray, like everyone else.

You forgot the sack of oranges/onions balanced across the handle bars, smoking a fag and texting.

Being serious though I did see a 4x4 driven through town the other day complete with 2 horses attached by a length of rope trotting along behind.
