Would anyone know of or have accommodation that we could rent in England when we visit our sons from 19 Apr - approx 24 May?

We will need: One bedroom, furnished and equipped to a decent standard to self-cater, quiet pleasant location anywhere around outskirts of M25 N/S/E/W
We are willing to pay around £120 pw plus gas/elect bills.

Doing a house swap may be an option.

Why dont you go and squat in Guy Ritchies pad, good post code and not bad for a short stay......the furniture might leave a lot to be desired though.

Good luck in your quest. The drawback is that anyone renting out a flat or house, will be doing it over a longer period. But there are some who cater for short-term lets - but they tend to charge more to compensate for the extra admin, advertising etc they incur.

If you're on the west side of London, Oxford may be an option, as they're used to language students needing short term lets. Hence the following site has short term lets.

It may be worth enquiring with other universities. There was a time when they'd rent out student accommodation - ok not 100% what you're after, but may be a possibility.

Try contacting local tourist offices - they may well know of letting agents who specialise in this. And of course there is always Gumtree and CraigsList, but be warned I've read of a lot of scams operating from these sites. Make sure everything is legit before you hand over any deposit/fees.
