RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR A SPANISH REGISTERED GAS FITTER
Hi can anybody recommend a company in Spain that does public liability insurance for my husband who has recently passed his gas exams in Spain.

Hi many thanks for your reply. Doesn't look as if anyone else on here has a need for this. Contacted the company you recommended as they looked quite promising. They say they do expat insurance in Spain. When I spoke to them they wont insure you if you live in Spain permanently. Surely that is what an expat is. 
Dont waste your time with them if you are an expat.

Dont waste your time with them if you are an expat.I find this a lot. Getting car insurance in the UK when you live here is a nightmare. Whats the point of advertising expat insurance ..... if you dont insure expats

As an afterthought, have you tried Knights Insurance?

If you search for "seguro responsabilidad civil" (public liability) you will be spoilt for choice. Just about all the Spanish insurance companies have off-the-shelf insurances by trade.
My insurance for being a walking guide is horribly expensive because there was no off-the-shelf offer so they made the price to measure as well, but for more run of the mill trades I believe they are very reasonable.
