Hi all,
I am moving to Malaga in 2 weeks and I am looking for somewhere affordable to rent.
I will be working at St George's school and need somewhere to live that is close to the school or on a bus route with up to 40 minutes travel.
So far I have had two people try to con me so I am reaching out to see if anyone can tell me which areas to look at and any good real estate agents who have rentals.
My budget at this time is 700 euros or there about.
Thanks to anyone who can assist.
Steve.

there will be lots of rental posters/signs etc around with phone numbers. You would need to go there

As far as I know there is only one bus goes up by the school, I think it might be (or at least was) the 33 which goes from the Alameda Principal in the centre. Depending on how long you want to travel, you could live anywhere from where you could travel to the centre and just change bus there.
https://www.idealista.com/ is a good place to start looking for accommodation
Good luck, I understand the school is lviing through interesting times at the moment.

As rachelk says, Idealista is a good place to start. We found our current property on Mil Anuncios but you have to be a bit more careful on there, as there are more scammers. Fair advice to say that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Not sure what you level of Spanish is, but picking up the phone and calling, rather than sending an email, generally seems to get you to the front of the queue.
Not sure what the exact route of the bus mentioned by rachelk is, but there are some nice properties going up the hill from the Pedregalejo beach area, which I would imagine the bus runs by or close to.
