Default Accom in Madrid

Hi Guys,
I'm new here. Just got a job in central Madrid. Don't know how to find decent accom. Thinking of finding a hostel to start with. Saw online from £12 a night. What is the going monthly rate for a bedsit near Chamartin area, and how do I find it? Any help appreciated!

Thank you Rosemary. While I keep trying myself thru' my employers, I would very much like to hear from friends here who may have gone through my phase.

Start looking here : Shared flat in Madrid, rent rooms

or

https://www.idealista.com/alquiler-h...rid/chamartin/

Both will give you a good idea of availability and room rates
