We have now received the Spanish/English contract for our proposed villa rental in Javea. Please does anyone know of an English speaking legal guy in Javea/environs who could vet the document for us?

His or her email address would be helpful. Just want to get it sorted ahead of signing and sending money. Last year in Javea was tough trying this year to be sensible and professional.

Hi have sent them three emails with a receipt being required and still no answer. Now have contract please does anyone have details of a Javea based lawyer who can vet the contract. Now under pressure to sign and get money across. This is a contrato de arrendamiento de Vivienda.

We use White & Baos and never have any problems, normally email response is good so don't know what's wrong, just give them a call, they will answer in Spanish but will speak very good English as soon as asked

Thanks so very much have now touched base with a Javea lawyer and who comes recommended so thanks to everyone. And I do regret not dealing with the introduction from U3A but unless someone responds there is only way of doing business.

Being in the legal world I try very hard and each day to respond to emails hence the hour having just come back home from business meetings.

I do understand pressure but sorry business is business and manana pour la manana is not understood this side of the pond.

But of course I have to get used to it. I should know I lived

in France for over 25 years they are experts.
