Hi can anybody advise us please if they know of anywhere we can hire a 4x4 vehicle with a tow bar to move our caravan. Thanks Gill

It will be in the Murcia region of Spain, preferably even in the Torrevieja area is also ok????

I reckon you would have more chance hiring a transit with a towbar, unless you have a specific need for 4WD. I am unable to offer any more advice but others maybe

As you and myself have found out trying to find one of those is as rare as hens teeth.

As mentioned you would probably find it easier to hire a van to do it, as long as it's not some huge american style caravan then it would pull it fine if you want added security then hire a LWB (Long Wheel Base) van.

Alternatively you could hire a car with a towbar, get a 2L diesel or above with a tow bar and you should be absolutely fine unless you're pulling it up a mountain or on dirt roads.

Please be aware that if it's the UK one you were talking about on the previous thread then as you would be pulling it using a Spanish plates vehicle it would be illegal to pull the caravan as in Spain a caravan has to have its own seperate registration/itv etc.

You could in theory get away with it if you were using a legal UK plated vehicle to pull it and adopted its plates.

The only other legal route would be for it to have Spanish registration or get a professional to tow it as they have trade plates that can put that on the caravan.

So we cannot drive it ourselves to the ITV station to get it tested, sounds like catch 22........
Maybe we could get the delivery driver to take it there for us.
