Hi! Does anyone have any recommendation on a reliable removal company from UK to Singapore please? Pickfords is a reputable one but very expensive. Thanks!

Hi Casros and welcome to the forum.
Probably not what you want to hear, but I've used a number of different companies over the years and Pickfords was about the best one. Some companies have been the pits and plenty of damage.

It can be hit and miss even on a recommendation.
We've used quite a few over the years but never Pickfords as their quotes were always too high, even though companies were paying.
Last time 'Crown' were very good we thought as good as we've had.

Have used GB Liners which has a sister company Loveday and Loveday which were both excellent for a domestic removal but can't comment on international. Not sure where you are based but Stirling in London. No idea of price though.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your kind replies! I live near London. Agree that it can be hit and miss as a friend recommended a domestic mover whom she raved about but they lost a few of my things and broke some others.

Hit and miss is right. We still use Crown Ace for odd parcels and are generally pleased. For the bulk, container load we used ICM Gerson (Michael Gerson) and found them good.

Allfreight are good, their shipments to Philippines go via Singapore. So maybe worth a try.
There is a thread about this on the Philippine Forum.

Thank you! International shipping is expensive hence must choose wisely.

We used Simpsons Removals to ship all our goods from UK (near Derby) to Malaysia (Melaka). We actually had quotes from 5 or 6 companies and these ranged from £4k up to just over £8k all for single use of 40 foot container. Insurance (as a %age of value) on top. All sent a rep to do a survey. Simpsons not the cheapest quote but we were very happy with them. Don't know if there were any breakages though as we are still in the UK. My sister-in-law arranged the Malaysian end and seems to think everything's ok!
Unpacking was included in cost, but we didn't want them to as we are only renting house temporarily while our own is being built, so no point in unpacking only to have to pack all up again in 6 months or so!
