Yes I would agree re the old green residencia card, but I am only saying my understanding. I would suggest anyone still relying on the green residencia card should exchange it for a TIE.

I have my state pension paid direct to my Spanish bank, yes it fluctuates with whatever the exchange rate is but the rate you get for day your pension is paid in is probably as good as you can get...

It may have been that they meant I couldn't open the savings account online as I had asked while speaking on the phone to them. It's not an issue as I opened an NS&I savings account which works fine...
