Hi

Matt is correct, you have 5 yyears from visa grant to move out.

However, you might have problems getting a residents return visa for a trip outside Australia until you have spent 2 years...

Hi

1 Yes covered for Medicare for what it is worth. You will still need private medical insurance.

2 Not found any other benefits yet.

3 AOS is really a bond that you get back at the end...

Just to be clear. The visa charge is per person. The AOS is different - $10k for the first person and another $4k for the second.

Not used Quantas premium economy but I have heard good reports of it. Reputedly one of the best?

We regularly use BA premium economy and would not go back to basic economy.

Hi

It seems that I am in the minority BUT I prefer BA in either business or premium economy. I have found the service on Emirates, even in Business class, to be quite poor.

My son was given the letter at the AOS interview and he went straight to the nearest Commonwealth Bank. All done and dusted in 30 minutes!

Stand by for action and make sure they don't pack things too early. They move pretty quick and we had to make sue they kept a few essentials for the second day (eg bed, TV, kettle).

This apples to all visa applications not just conversion from 173 to 143. We had to get AU Fed Police certificates for our 143 because we had spent moere than 1 year in Australia in the past...
