I have driven through Grand Forks quite a few times and it strikes me as a small and very isolated place. Although I don't know what your OH does there must be opportunities for employment in bigger...

I can only speak from my experience. When you put it like that it sounds as if you are saying nepotism trumps ability. I don't believe that at all, at least not in the private business sector.

I think there is still a remnant of the wild west mentality in BC. Make your own life, build your own house, go out and do what it takes to put food on the table, don't rely on anyone but yourself. ...

If you qualify for Employment Insurance then you should get it. If there is a problem you will need to contact Service Canada to resolve it.

You can apply for welfare if you are citizens or PRs....
