Ok before I thought this guy should visit the north as he has never been, but you have spent time in braga and reckon it's just like the algarve, wow.. I'm speechless!

Head north of Lisbon inland and pretty soon it bursts into a differnt country, to suggest the likes of Douro valley and Geres have anything in common with the algarve as far as vegatation is...

I love the Algarve but the landscape difference between the algarve and the north is extreme. The north for me however is where I want to be and the algarve is where I like to holiday, each to their...

You know if you just make an effort they normally really appreciate it, don't expect to become fluent as few do and certainly not at retirement age. That said I find it shocking when I've seen fellow...

I'm pretty surprised at this also, you do know hake is "pescada" I assume? It seems so common here, probably the most popular of all the fish sold here.

Desculpa is informal(tu) "sorry" and Descuple(voçê) is the formal, that's the only difference.

"Excuse me" is Com licença.
